WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT GOODMAN'S MUSIC
JUSTIN BENAVIDEZ
Todd Goodman’s compositions are vivid, striking, and playgrounds for interpretation. I love that his music is meaningful while being fun to perform. His writing is memorable, and the way that he composes for tuba is particularly stylish. Todd Goodman’s TUBA CONCERTO NO. 2 will build on his already established voice as a creator of artistic expression for the tuba. His music will sing with joy, cry with pain, and ensnare the imagination. I encourage everyone to join this consortium for what will be the next significant piece for in our literature!
AARON
TINDALL
Goodman's first TUBA CONCERTO is an astonishing work that showcases the many abilities of the modern day solo tubist. This Concerto is packed full of the essential elements needed for a work of this stature to stand the test of time.
ZACH
COLLINS
Working with Todd Goodman has been truly rewarding. My trio, Eastern Standard, asked Todd to write a piece for us. The piece he produced, WANDERLUST is one of the most well-crafted works in our repertoire. His music is tuneful and unique. It is both profound and accessible, and is as enjoyable for the audience to hear as it is for the performer to play.
I am excited to be a part of bringing Todd’s TUBA CONCERTO NO. 2 to life. He has proven to consistently produce meaningful music, and I am sure this new concerto will be an important addition to the repertoire.
